This past Friday we came up short 44 to 30. It is hard to lose, but learning from each loss is important.  We made a few mistakes and we had a few players battling injuries throughout the game. We have three seniors amongst a team filled with underclassmen. They are getting better each week and they are not quitting on the field. We are starting to understand how to play as a team and not as individuals. We have several players that play every snap and we couldn't score without them: Pax Parrish, Graham Kincaid, Jackson Van Houten, Drayton Moore, David Barnes, and Landon Provost. They all deserve a pat on the pack for doing their part every play. Our MVP is split between two parents this week: Paxton Parrish and Matt Cory. Coach Parrish helps coach JV, he films our games, sets up and tears down our camera tower, helped put the sled together and refereed the powderpuff game. The tower could not have been set if not for Matt Cory's help as well. Thank y

In my 43 years of coaching, I could not be more proud of a team.. They have had many obstacles to overcome in this young season, but they have shown up everyday. On paper, the team from SC Spartans looked much better than the PCA Eagles. However, our boys played their hearts out and showed that if you play as a team and for the Glory of God then anything is possible. The PCA Eagles defeated SC Spartans on Friday night 40-16! This upcoming Friday the Eagles are looking to extend the streak against Costal Hurricanes in Richmond Hill, Georgia. The next home game for the Eagles will be September 13th. Thank you for all your support this past Friday!

The 2024 varsity girls tennis team boasts 15 exceptional tennis players and young ladies! The team practiced together throughout the summer and are ready for an exciting season of tennis in our new conference.  The theme of this season is LOVE ALL, SERVE ALL. We will focus on being filled with God’s love and sharing his love: with teammates, opponents, teachers, family….ALL! Every tennis game begins with “LOVE ALL”. We will also physically work on serves, you cannot win a point if you cannot get your serve in. We will focus on serving others in big and small ways throughout the season. The team is off to an amazing start! Our first match was last Monday, August 12th against Colleton Prep with a 9-0 sweep: 6 singles wins and 3 doubles wins. We had our first conference win at home against Pinewood Prep on Wednesday, August 21st with a score of 8-1.  This week the team will be traveling to Colleton Prep on Monday and to Phillip Simmons on Thursday.

That is expected with the first game and it is our job to take what we learn and keep training to improve. The game was tied up late in the third quarter, but the Eagles ultimately fell 52-28. I am proud of how our players have fought and how they continue to show up every day. Cade Patrick stepped in at quarterback and had a really good game. Jackson Van Houten and Pax Parrish lead the Ol/Dl. Pax caught a pass and scored-- it is a lineman's dream! We have our first home game this Friday night at Park West agains the SC Spartans, starting at 7:30.
