JV VB Wins Region

The Lady Eagles finished up our 2024 season this past week. We traveled to Northwood Academy on
Tuesday and defeated the chargers in two sets. Peyton Little served perfectly 14 serves and Ripley
Suddeth added 5 perfect serves. Elle Hinson scored on 7 kills in 10 attacks on the ball and AG Works
added 4 points with her 4 kills in 5 attacks. Atalie Bengtson had 4 attacks in the match. Norah Lowery led
the team with 2 solo blocks in the match.
The following day we went downtown to face Ashley Hall. We also defeated the panthers in two sets
with scores of 25-11, 25-14. We only had one serving error in the match, so nearly everyone served a
perfect game! Peyton Little and Addyson Carper led with the most aces. Audrey Baumgardner had 7 digs
and Addyson Carper dug up 6 attacks from Ashley Hall. For our offense, Elle Hinson, Peyton Little, and
Emerson Hinson were tied with 4 kills each, Anabelle Tillery and Ripley Suddeth each added 3 kills in the
match.
The JV volleyball team finished our season undefeated in our region with a 10-0 record. Our overall
record is 18-1 with our only loss being to Wando in the semifinals of the Bishop England tournament.
The effort, growth and determination that the team has shown this season has been unmatched! We
embraced the theme of commit this season with the team verse of Psalm 16:3 “Commit your works to
the Lord and your plans will be established.” We are thankful for the safe, successful season and the
support of our family and fans! For His Glory!!
JV VB Thriving in the Region

We are rolling through the season and have had another great week in JV Volleyball. We played
Pinewood Prep on Tuesday and won in two sets, 25-13, 25-11. We served an amazing game, only
missing three serves! Elle Hinson served 6 aces and Addyson Carper served up 5. Emerson Hinson led
the team with 5 kills.
On Thursday we faced Northwood Academy and defeated them 25-16, 25-12. Amelia Carper and Juliet
Olson each had 4 aces on the night and Peyton Little and AG Works combined for 7 kills from our middle
hitters.
This week we have a very busy week, even though it’s a shorter week for school! On Monday we travel
to Porter Gaud for a 5:30 match and Tuesday we travel to First Baptist for a 5:00 match. We also picked
up another match on Wednesday in the SLC at 4:30 against Philip Simmons. If you’re in town, please

JV VB Play in Bishop England Tournament

The Lady Eagles had a busy week of volleyball this week. We traveled to Pinewood Prep on Tuesday
night and defeated the panthers in two sets 25-17, 25-13. Audrey Baumgardner, Peyton Little, Anabelle
Tillery, Norah Lowry, and Juliet Olson all served 100% throughout the match. Juliet led the team with 5
aces out of 9 serves! Peyton led the team in hitting percentage with 8 kills out of 11 hits. The whole
team played as a cohesive unit and earned another region win.
Unfortunately, our match against Ashley Hall was postponed until a later date due to hurricane Helen,
but we did get to play in the Bishop England Tournament on Saturday. The girls played well against
some very tough teams as we battled our way through pool play all morning and early afternoon
earning a spot in the gold bracket. Our first tournament match was against Academic Magnet, and we
won in 3 sets to advance to the semifinals. Unfortunately, we lost in the semifinals to Wando in two
sets. We had a great day of growth and development as a team throughout this tournament.
This week we have our last two official home matches—Tuesday against Pinewood Prep and Thursday
against Northwood Academy. Come and cheer on your Lady Eagles!!
JV VB Remains Undefeated

Your JV Lady Eagles improved to 9-0 this week in the season and 2-0 in region play with our win over
Porter Gaud on Thursday night. Both Peyton Little and Anna Grace Works had 6 kills in the match. Elle
Hinson set the ball 37 times with 18 assists. Amelia Carper served a perfect game with 14 serves and 2
aces. She also had 13 sets and 5 assists. Norah Lowery was the Player of the match, chosen by her
teammates, for her joy and hard work in practice!
We play First Baptist on Tuesday at home at 5:00. Please come out and cheer on your Lady Eagles.
JV Volleyball Continues to Thrive

The Lady Eagles continue to roll through our season as we earned three more wins this past week! First,
we played a tri-match with Military Magnet and Charleston Collegiate on Tuesday night. We defeated
each opponent by double digits in each set. On Thursday, we faced Ashely Hall in our first region match
and also won in two sets during that match with scores of 25-12, 25-13.
During the games last week Amelia Carper and Anabelle Tillery served 100% of their serves accurately.
Peyton Little served up the most aces with 18 and Addyson Carper earned second place with 13 aces.
Peyton also tied with and Emerson Hinson with 12 kills for the week. All of the girls are growing and
developing their level of play!
This week we have one home match against Porter Gaud on Thursday at 5:00. Come and cheer on your
Lady Eagles!!
JV Volleyball 5-0

This past week the JV Volleyball team traveled around the corner to Crown Leadership Academy to play them in a best of 5 match. PCA won easily in 3 sets with scores of 25-7, 25-6, 25-10. Many of the points were scored on aces and kills. Audrey Baumgardner led the serving attack with 13 aces and Elle Hinson added 10 aces to the mix. AG Works contributed 6 kills to score while Ripley Suddeth had 4 kills and Juliet Olson had 3. The team is now 5 – 0 for the season.
This week we have all home games starting with a tri-match with Charleston Collegiate and Military Magnet on Tuesday. Games should be at 5:00 and 6:00. We finish the week with our first region match against Ashley Hall on Thursday at 5:00. Come out and cheer for us!!
JV Volleyball -- Ironhorse Invitational Champions!

The JV volleyball team started off the season strong with a full week of play! We hosted Ashley Ridge in
a scrimmage on Monday night and won in three sets. Then we traveled to Hammond on Tuesday and
Cathedral Academy on Thursday and won decisive victories in two sets for each match.
Finally, we played in the Ironhorse Invitational at Philip Simmons on Saturday. We finished pool play in
first place despite two losses. During the afternoon, we faced Cane Bay in the first round of the
tournament play. We defeated them 25-21, 22-25, 15-13 in order to be able to play Bishop England in
the championship match. With a large crowd of parents and fans cheering us on, we defeated BE 25-17,
25-19 to be the Ironhorse Invitational Champions! Peyton Little earned all-tournament honors and Elle
Hinson was named tournament MVP. The girls played tirelessly for each point throughout the day and
their time and effort in practice is paying off!
We are off this week but come watch us play at home on September 3 rd in a tri-match with Charleston
Collegiate and Military Magnet!
