The PCA Boys Tennis team played their first match Wednesday at Pinewood Prep with a victory of 7 to 2. Between singles and doubles opportunities every player on the team enjoyed a win. Hard hitter Andy Motley showed strength on the singles court with a 6-0, 6-1 win against an upper classman. Fans were amazed at the stamina of Pierce Meza as he battled out a two hour singles match for a tie-breaking win. In doubles, Maverick Raymer dominated with his height at net. Sixth graders Luke Gordon and Will Ferguson contributed to the team win total with their 8-0 doubles victory. The opposing team commented as they watched, “They look like they’re loving every point of this match!” The entire team showed a high level of competitive focus while truly enjoying their sport.
