The baseball team dropped two games this past week but showed a lot of effort and "will not quit" attitude. We lost to the Lowcountry Wildcats 7-2. PCA could only produce 4 hits in the game with LCW having 9 hits. Jake Taylor had two hits and pitched the complete game. Kyler Stille and William Hollified each had one hit.

We had a very good chance at victory against Saint Johns on Wednesday night. We lost 8-6 in a very thrilling game. We had 11 hits with Sully Huemphner and Cade Patrick with 2 hits each. William Hollifield had 3 hits and Jake Taylor, Ross McMillan, and Kyler Stille had one hit each. William Hollifield pitched 6 complete innings and gave up 10 hits with 8 strikeouts. Sully came in relief in the 9th inning and showed great composure facing only 4 batters and not giving up any hits or runs. We had our best offensive effort so far this year with a total of 11 hits and a team batting average of .343.

Our next game is at Lowcountry Wildcats today at 6 pm. The next home game at Shipyard Park is Monday, March 25 against First Baptist. Please plan to come out and support the boys.

It's baseball season!! We are excited for the 2024 PCA Baseball season to get underway!! The team has been practicing for the past few months and has shown great progress. Several players now have a few years of varsity play experience and are ready to show their improvements and progress on the field. We have the largest roster in several years of 15 players eager to get the games started.

We play our home games, with the exception of one (which is at Park West), at Shipyard Park. We are blessed to be able to play at this exceptional facility. Also, a few of our away games are in the Charleston area, so not difficult to attend. There is not a charge for our home games.
